Well, it depends. If your business doesn’t work with any hazardous chemicals and doesn’t have a lot of foot traffic, a strip and wax job may last several years. If your floor is subject to harsh conditions – either due to high foot traffic volume or chemical exposure – it may only last months. It largely comes down to a judgement call on the part of the business owner. If you’re unhappy with how your surface looks or performs, it’s probably time for a strip and wax. However, since failure to strip and wax frequently enough can lead to safety hazards and permanent damage to your surface, it’s better to err on the side of too often than not often enough.
